Dr. Terrence Tancabel
Dr. Terrence Tancabel lives with his wife Char in Litchfield. They have four adult children including Dr. Katie. He is a graduate of Concordia College Moorhead and was awarded his doctorate degree from Pacific University. He has done post graduate work at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. His areas of special interest include glaucoma and anterior segment disorders.
Dr. Tancabel is a member of the Minnesota and American Optometric Associations. He is a past-president of the Minnesota Optometric Association. He is a board member of Minnesota VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) and has participated in four mission trips. His community involvement includes youth hockey coach for 10 years, Kiwanis Club past president, Lions club, Chamber of Commerce board, church council, golf club board, and two terms on the Litchfield school board including two years as chairman.
Dr. Tancabel's hobbies include golf, softball, fishing, traveling and spending time at the lake.
Dr. Katie Tancabel
Dr. Katie Tancabel has been practicing optometry since June of 2008. She enjoyed growing up in Litchfield.
After attending the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul for her bachelor’s degree, she attended optometry school in Chicago at the Illinois College of Optometry. She thoroughly enjoys all patient care, with a passion for ocular disease, the aging eye, and pediatric care.
Dr. Tancabel is a member of the Minnesota Optometric Association, a board member for VOSH-Minnesota (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity), on both the Membership Committee and Strategic Task Force Committee for the Minnesota Optometric Association, and an InfantSEE provider.
She loves to travel, read, play golf, dance, and spend time with her husband (Peter) and their three kids (including twins!), her family and friends.
Amy graduated with an Optometric Assistant degree in 1997 from Minnesota West College. She has been employed with the Litchfield Eye Center since 2000. Amy lives on a hobby farm in Paynesville with her husband and daughter. Her family enjoys spending time outdoors, camping and fishing.
Kathy is the practice manager, and has been with LEC since 1997. She and her husband have two grown sons and three grandsons. They love to travel, and spend lots of time with their grandsons.
